Today a revolutionary iOS app is launched: Audiobus. It lets you connect other music making apps like amp simulators, synthesizers and multitrack recorders into chains, each app delivering its output live into the next app’s input.
Until now, most music apps have been isolated islands, at best connected through static copy and paste of waveforms. This has meant that every app needs to provide its own input handling, recording, filtering etc.
With Audiobus you can connect your favorite amp sim with a multitrack recorder app from a completely different developer. The only drawback is that each app maker has to build support into their apps to be usable by Audiobus. Here’s a list of those already on-board.
